Itineraries

Day 1

The Victoria Falls

Your driver will be awaiting for you at the airport which is located 21 km South-East of the Victoria Falls Town to transfer you to Dzimbahwe Guest Lodge; a comfortable lodge located in the peaceful area of Victoria Falls closer to the game corridor, approximately 3km from the main falls where you will sleep for two nights. On the same day you will be picked from Dzimbahwe Guest lodge to enjoy the best of both worlds, for a spectacular Sunset Dinner Cruise on the magnificent Zambezi River, followed by a four-course meal, freshly prepared on-board by chefs, and served to you while cruising along the river with the sounds of the African bush with lush riverine vegetation, prolific birdlife and abundant game; providing you with background music. You will most definitely see hippos, crocs and many species of birdlife, but there is also the chance of spotting lots of other game including Elephant which cross the river to feed on the islands.

Day 2

The Mighty Victoria Falls Activities

After Breakfast you will be picked for the Guided tour of the Falls(Zimbabwe) -- A view of the Victoria Falls is something you will never forget and the best way to see them is on a guided tour. Discover how the Falls were formed and what local customs and traditions surround them. Then later after the Falls tour enter the world of the traditional people of rural Zimbabwe for a village tour - an experience which gives you a greater understanding of how the local community lives. A visit to a local Zimbabwean village is an eye-opening experience and interactive tour, giving insight into the old ways of the Zimbabwean people, essentially taking you back in time. Most rural Zimbabwean folk are subsistence farmers, so they have little interaction with urban centres apart from if they want to sell surplus produce. Polish the day in the evening by the The Boma – Dinner & Drum Show which is a “must do” Victoria Falls dining and entertainment experience, specializing in traditional African food, drumming and dancing. The food is cooked and served in the style and quantity of a lavish feast, including irresistible desserts. On arrival, you are dressed in a chitenge (traditional sarong) and welcomed into a vibrant atmosphere in which the tantalizing aromas of local dishes and game meat on the braai (barbecue) fill the restaurant, which is partially open to the star-filled African sky. (B&B and Dinner)

Day 3 - 4

Hwange National Park

After breakfast you will be picked by your driver for the journey approximately 2 hours and travels through Hwange, a rustic and charming town dotted with villages within rural Africa to Ganda Lodge that overlooks a natural waterhole where you will be welcomed by game, which is unperturbed by the presence of human beings. After Lunch around 15h30 an experienced and informative guide takes on an estate game drive into the thick bush of Ganda lodge estate through the beautiful teak woodlands of the Sikumi Forest bordering the Hwange Nat-Park. The following day enjoy a full day game drive into Hwange Nat-Park which is situated in western Zimbabwe and it is the country's biggest game reserve, home to a profusion of wildlife, including giraffe, lion, zebra and approximately 40 000 elephants. It provides a sanctuary for all the country’s endangered species, including a population of wild dogs thought to be among the most sizeable surviving groups on the continent. Later enjoy a picnic lunch and ride back into the park’s magnificent terrain ranges from desert dunes, savannah lands and mopane woodlands to rocky outcrops and sparse forests having the sun downer in nature and finishing the day with dinner at the lodge and some time to relax before your tomorrow’s early morning drive to Matobo Hills.
