The Khami Ruins rarely pop up in people’s mind when they are on holiday in Zimbabwe and many tour guides even leave it out of their itinerary but that does not diminish its status as a World Heritage Site that is worth a visit as it is a remarkably interesting place. Spend a few hours in Khami Ruins, comprising of a hill complex, Portuguese Cross, Dam Wall, the gong and a site museum. Apart from these, the entire area reflects the aura of the bygone era.
