Enjoy a full day tour exploring the Matobo hills, which are home to an outstanding collection of rock paintings, the largest in southern Africa with some striking scenery notably the “Kopjes” – strangely shaped weathered granite outcrops often in the form of huge “marbles” balanced on top of each other. After an early morning breakfast you will be picked by a professional guide to Matobo Hills National Park and expect to take away new insights for an appreciation of Africa and her people on this unforgettable experience. Less than an hour's drive from Bulawayo as you leave the city travelling south, many granite outcrops are seen increasing in number and size as the distance from the city grows. By the time the Park is entered one is surrounded by a dramatic and enveloping scenery that is unique and extraordinary. Enjoy a game drive as you proceed for the rhino tracking safari on foot with a professional guide in the shadows of the Matobo Hills and feel your heart poundong as you get close to one of the world’s most handsome and endangered animals. In the park can be seen trees and shrubs unique to that area, as well as flora and fauna found in many other parts of the world, which have grown naturally in the Matobo Hills. In the afternoon you will be treated by a three course meal lunch by your guide before you head for the ancient bushmen paintings then on to see Cecil John Rhodes grave accompanied by beautiful scenery of the sunset along the way.
