The Khami Ruins Tour

In the second half of the 15th century Great Zimbabwe came to an abrupt end and its successor, the Khami, developed both the stone building techniques and the pottery styles found at Great Zimbabwe and seeded a number of smaller sites over a wide region of the southern and western plateau. The Khami Ruins rarely pop up in people’s mind when they are on holiday in Zimbabwe and many tour guides even leave it out of their itinerary but that does not diminish its status as a World Heritage Site that is worth a visit as it is a remarkably interesting place. Spend a few hours in Khami Ruins, comprising of a hill complex, Portuguese Cross, Dam Wall, the gong and a site museum. Apart from these, the entire area reflects the aura of the bygone era.
